This is a recording I did for my son's 16th birthday as a surprise for him on my MySpace page. He also plays guitar and I though he'd get a kick out of a “shred” version of Happy Birthday, so I stayed up late the night before the big occasion and cranked this off.

Wind Chime Serenade
I wrote this song with the feel of a Caribbean night, wind chimes tingling, and the breeze of the ocean blowing on the porch.
Dreamscape
The idea for this piece came out of one of our regular weekly jams in November, 2006. I was playing this melody line and really liked the ethereal, dreamy feel of it, so went home and recorded a tune based on it.
Generations
I recorded this the night my grandfather passed away in early 2007. I was trying to capture the emotion of the moment and a sense of his presence: strong, steady, and substantial, without editing and re-writing it. I wrote and recorded it all the same night.
Thinking of you
I wrote this piece feeling a bit melancholy, trying to capture the feeling of being distant from your loved ones, and the emotion of that disconnect you feel when you’re missing someone.
