Dinner parties always seem to end up with the guests in the kitchen while the host is putting the finishing touches on the meal. Expanding on that natural gravitation to the kitchen and making the preparation the focus of the event can be a wonderful way to spend time visiting with friends, as well as learning a thing or two in the process.

I have always enjoyed sharing my love of cooking with others, and am now offering private group classes in your home for groups from 6-12 people. Whether it be how to make hors d’oeuvre or a multi course meal, we can tailor the menu to exactly what you are looking for and create a real interactive dining experience.

A typical class would involve preliminary discussion about what the client would like to learn, whether it be a themed class on a particular style or technique. The menu would be drafted, sent for approval, and then recipes and recipe booklets prepared. The first portion of the class would be spent on preparation and discussion of techniques involved, followed by the finishing of the dishes, presentation, and tasting, of course.

I will do all the shopping, advance preparation as necessary, and most importantly clean up the dishes!
